About The Event
Welcome to Virginia Moonlighters Conceal Carry Certification,
As a community, our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and family friendly learning environment to develop lifesaving skills. We do this through specific training and drills which build the confidence and skillsets necessary to thrive in real world environments. At C4, you'll learn:
- Applicable laws and moral theory involving use of your concealed weapon
- Actions to be taken after being involved in a situation where you fire your CCW
- Handgun/accessory options, setup, and carry configurations, proper clothing and holster related options
- Proper handgun operations and fundamentals of marksmanship
- Techniques to draw and employ your CCW in different situations including public areas, enclosed spaces, sitting , from a vehicle, and others
- Proper draw and re-holstering
Our end-of-day goal is to have all students confidently drawing from their concealed holsters then accurately engaging targets from 3-21 yards under building levels of duress. Students will also learn at-home drills useful to improving their draw and first shot times.
------
Acceptable CCW holsters, fitted Kydex, or hard shell type specifically modeled for your handgun.
The only necessary retention for your ccw should be a tight adjustable fit for your firearm. We will review how to adjust fitment in the beginning of the class.
A good, mid tier holster will start around 50$ and customs can move into the 200$ range. Please contact us for specific recommendations.
We Prefer AIWB (Appendix Inside Waist Band), placing your CCW between 11 to 1 o'clock of you centerline / belly button.
IWB (Inside Waist Band) are acceptable, but MUST sit on the forward 180° of your body.
OWB (Outside Waist Band) holsters are an option but must be mounted securely and no "Serpa", or trigger finger
No "Behind the back" will be permitted. While these are a viable option for experienced shooters, they are not suitable for new CCW individuals and are a potential safety risk on a training line.
